It has come to my attention through the kind cooperation of the lawyers for Thompson/Center Arms that someone believes that Precision Rifle has advocated using smokeless powder in the Encore muzzleloader. This is just not correct. Nowhere on the many pages of our website is there a single reference to smokeless powder in an Encore muzzleloader. No loads, no data, no testing. Our breech plugs are designed to work with all powders currently on the market that are black powder or an approved substitute.

I trust this clears up any confusion. I don't know who started the rumor but I have ended it with this writing. Questions, call me.
